<title>Sylvan Glen Country Estate</title>
<description>Sylvan Glen is a charming and very unique country property in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Australia. It is located 150kms south of Sydney and north of Canberra - about 1.5 hours drive. Set on 60 acres, it was first built and farmed by the Rush family in the 1870’s as an orchard and the original homestead still remains with some updates! 

The main guesthouse has 11 en suite bedrooms, several living and dining areas, open fires and decks and verandahs in keeping with its heritage listing. Central heating and air conditioning as well as wifi everywhere and Foxtel are modern improvements of course. 

An additional 3 bedroom cottage, great for families and again with their own bathrooms as well as green keepers 1 bed suite complete with four poster make 15 bedrooms accommodating up to 45 people. 

Our own AGU accredited par 32 9 hole golf course set in a valley with tree lined boundaries makes for a great and very private view. 

At the far end of the properties lies Scribbly cottage, a gorgeous Dwelling which can be booked along with Sylvan Glen it separate to it. It has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a bunkhouse sleeping 8 - bringing capacity to 18-20 people. Indoor and outdoor fires, it has a dining table to seat 20 and is great for big and little kids! Table tennis, cubby house, skate ramp, trampoline and movie room accompany relaxing decks and a fully decked out kitchen!

Sylvan Glen is one of the most well known hosts of unforgettable functions in NSW. Winning multiple state and national awards, it’s just different from anything else. Family run for the last 20 years by 3 generations, it has hosted weddings and every other type of celebration, using its indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly. Function spaces include a main building separate to the homestead which has two dining areas, a bar (although we are byo!), breakfast room, chill out lounge, space for buffets and dance floor - all leading out into a garden space complete with outdoor bar, giant chess and jenga and furniture around a small pond complete with fountain and ducks.

Additionally, there is a very unique dining barn. With a curved roof, sliding barn doors and two fireplaces, it is situated next to the guesthouse and guests cook their own bbq and eat here. With galvanised corrugated sheet and stacked log walls, fairy lights, chandeliers and a sound system complete the experience with everyone dining on antique tables and rustic chairs. 

The gardens are large and contain century old oaks and many other European trees including retaining part of the original orchards. A tennis and basketball court as well as volleyball and croquet are on site too. 

We offer fully coordinated wedding functions that last three days and two nights with catered accommodation. Scribbly cottage is self contained and the homestead can be too for limited openings.
