Bromwich Park Farm Weddings

Bromwich Park is a working farm situated in the rural county of Shropshire, close to the beautiful Welsh borders near the historic market town of Oswestry and just a 90 minute drive from Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham.

Surrounded by open fields, Bromwich Park is a wonderful place to host your wedding party or special event, full of quirk and character, with the freedom and flexibility to ensure your celebration is just as you would wish.

We also offer luxury self-catering holiday accommodation in the recently converted Granary Cottage which sits at the heart of the farm. The farm buildings and fields would also be suitable for retreats or workshop weekends amongst other things.

Your friendly hosts Nicholas and Julian live in the main farmhouse and are on hand to assist you with any wedding planning or holiday advice you require.

Weddings & Events:
For a venue as unique as you, Bromwich Park Farm offers you the exclusive use of a range of indoor and outdoor spaces which are perfect for creating your own rustic, festival style celebrations which can be as formal or informal as you like. The place will be yours to create your perfect party - decorate it in your style, choose your own food, select your own drinks and play your own music. The only limit is your imagination.

The Cow Barn is a large open space, a blank canvas which can be decorated however you like, much like a marquee. Perfect for a reception with live bands and dancing. It is a good size for 100 - 250+ guests .

The Milking Parlour is a cosy, bohemian party room, lounge and bar retaining original milking features where you can dance into the night with no curfew.

Between The Cow Barn and The Milking Parlour is the paved Courtyard, with raised beds created from recycled railway sleepers, oak beams and stone, with patio furniture, a pergola and fire bowl. This space is perfect for champagne receptions, ceremonies or performances.

The Granary Cottage at the heart of the farm makes the ideal luxurious nest for the bride and groom to escape to throughout the celebrations.

You can create your own wedding ceremony in the open air on Promise Knoll, a moated ancient scheduled monument in front of the farm, or in the Courtyard or inside in the Cow Barn.
We don’t yet have a full wedding licence but there are registry offices in nearby Oswestry and Shrewsbury and a beautiful small church in Maesbury where you can have your legal ceremony.

We have a Camping Field in front of the house for guests who like to sleep under canvas or in camper vans, with a campfire and barbecue area. Camping guests can also make use of a camping kitchen in an old stable. If glamping is more your style, we can also arrange for fully furnished bell tents to be set up ready for you. There are also plenty of hotels and B&B’s for guests in the surrounding area.

We only host a handful of wedding parties each year at Bromwich Park. The venue will be yours for the whole weekend so you won’t feel rushed. Your hosts, Nicholas and Julian are always happy to offer any assistance or advice you may need to make your event run smoothly.

Please get in touch if you have any questions and come and pay us a visit and we will put together a menu of facilities and costs to suit your needs. Prices from £2000. To use Bromwich Park for other events such as retreats or workshops , please get in touch.

Halston Estate

Whether as a location for weddings and wedding receptions, as a private or corporate party venue, for conferences and a product launches or as a film location, you can be sure of a warm welcome at history-steeped Halston, one of Shropshire's most attractive country houses. The rooms, spacious and well-furnished, are bright with fragrant flowers fresh from the garden. You can recapture the peaceful atmosphere of days gone by, when horse-drawn carriages clattered up the drive.

Situated in fabulous secluded parkland set well back from the Oswestry-Ellesmere road and overlooking two lakes the Grade 1 listed William and Mary house is the focal point of a 600-acre estate with a home farm. Halston also boasts one of only two timber-framed churches in Shropshire. Experts believe it was built towards the end of the 15th century.

Today's house of mellow brick embellished with equally attractive stonework was built in 1690, then 'modernised' by Robert Mylne in the 1760s. His talents created one of Shropshire's most noteworthy 18th century interiors, according to no less an expert than Sir Nikolaus Pevsner.

Weddings
Halston is available as a venue for your wedding. Unlike hotels, if you hold your wedding here the whole venue is yours and yours alone for the duration. Smaller receptions can be held inside the house and for larger ones a marquee can be used. The historic chapel, one of only two timber-framed churches in Shropshire, is also available for marriage blessings.

Residential
Halston has a number of cottages available to rent. With excellent transport links and beautiful countryside on your doorstep, the estate really is a superb place to live.

Sporting
Halston has an excellent, well-established pheasant, duck and partridge syndicate shoot. For more information please contact us.

Lakes
Halston Estate contains two lakes: the 18 acre Big Wood Lake and the 6 acre House Lake.

(If you contact the venue directly please let them know you found them on TheIdealVenue.com. Thank you)
