TRAVEL

Mount Stuart is located on the Isle of Bute, the most accessible island off the west coast of Scotland. Public transport links to Mount Stuart are fully integrated, ensuring that guests can get here quickly, and easily.

The Isle of Bute is approximately 50 minutes from Glasgow by road or rail, followed by a 35 minute ferry crossing from Wemyss Bay to Rothesay. Alternatively another ferry runs from Colintraive to Rhubodach, taking less than 5 minutes.

Mount Stuart is 5 miles south of the island’s principal town: Rothesay, and is well signposted from the ferry terminal.

Arrival by helicopter on the grounds of Mount Stuart can be pre-arranged; alternatively the Isle of Bute airstrip is a 5 minute car journey from Mount Stuart.</description>
