We are a sophisticated 4* hotel, located in the up and coming seaside town of Margate, Kent. The hotel is stunningly designed throughout with pale blues, greens and creams matching accordingly to our seaside surroundings. We are lucky enough to have the best views in town and our floor length windows in our Bay restaurant and Terrace Suite function room show them off magnificently. We have an amazing head chef and team who have helped us in getting our two rosette’s awarded by the AA. We are the only hotel in Thanet with this award and we are also Michelin recommended. We offer breakfast, coffee & cake, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Our beautiful Terrace Suite function room is available for weddings, parties, business meetings and all other events. It has its own private entrance, private bar and bathroom facilities. With floor length windows for those spectacular views and its luxurious design, it is a great space that will impress you and your guests. Our 20 en-suite bedrooms are luxurious and are of high standard as is the rest of the hotel. Sink in to our king or super-king size pocket-sprung mattresses with deep fillings comprising cashmere, silk and cotton. Both duvet and pillows are filled with pure jasmine silk, naturally hypoallergenic, with all bed linen at its highest quality providing the ultimate night’s sleep. Each bathroom has been individually designed with overhead rainfall showers providing sense of tranquillity and relaxation. Weddings We are the perfect location for your big day whether you would like a small intimate wedding or a larger celebration. We are licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies in our beautiful Terrace Suite or Bay restaurant, both with breath-taking wide views of Margate Main Sands. Here at the Sands Hotel we realise it can be a bit overwhelming planning your wedding. With that in mind our dedicated team are happy to make sure the planning process is as stress free as possible for you. On the day there will be a wedding co-ordinator at hand to ensure your day runs smoothly and to assist you in any way they can. Our aim is to ensure we provide you with a day you and your guests will never forget. Conferences We offer conference facilities in our Terrace Suite, with peaceful and relaxed surroundings, just steps away from the beach and Margate old town. This flexible air-conditioned light and airy space with stunning views over Margate Sands can also be used to accommodate presentations or a unique event. We offer fantastic day delegate rates at only £45.00 per delegate or for the more executive requirement we offer 24 hour rates with an overnight stay in our beautiful boutique hotel. Our meeting room can be set up for specific requirements depending on capacity. We will set the room up to your specification, to include comfortable chairs, glasses, mineral water and stationary. The room is fully equipped with our AV system and surround sound, and you will have the support of our trained team who are available throughout your conference to assist with your individual needs.
