About this venue
The Bull is a delightful hotel of Cotswold stone with characterful and architectural features. Award-winning head chef, Sebastian Snow, took on the lease of The Bull in September 2016 and has created a new foodie haven with warm and welcoming spaces to relax and unwind.
The Bull Hotel dates from the 15th century. The hotel is made up of two neighbouring pubs, The Bull and The George, which were later joined together. The Bull was originally a Monk’s Chanting House, and in the 18th and 19th centuries a famous coaching inn on the London to Gloucester turnpike road, with stabling for 30 horses.
A secret tunnel was recently discovered, leading from the hotel to the medieval church of St Mary’s nearby. The George was once the town’s post office, and later, a pub serving land workers. Today The Bull attracts a far reaching crowd.
After an extensive sensitive refurbishment the Bull Hotel offers twenty one bedrooms, dining rooms for 80 to 100 guests and a delightful old barn for functions "The Bull Room" seating a maximum of 60 and hosts a variety of events.
