Wick Farm Bath

Wick Farm is a medieval farm steeped in history and built for the monks at nearby Hinton Priory. Dating from 1372, it is set in 37 acres of stunning countryside, complete with horses, sheep, pigs, chickens and even a duck pond. The beautiful threshing barn with views of the Westbury White Horse could not be a better rural retreat for your special day. Just off the A36, sandwiched between Bath, Bristol, Chippenham, Warminster and Frome with parking for 50 cars and full wheelchair access into both barns, Wick Farm makes the perfect venue for your wedding, party, conference or meeting. With a licence for Civil ceremonies and partnership we can provide everything for your wedding day under one roof. 17th century Threshing Barn The Upper Barn was used as a threshing barn in the 17th century by the monks at Hinton Priory. Now it is a magnificent setting for your unique celebration, meeting or conference. The Upper Barn has oak flooring, under floor heating and high ceilings with exposed original beams. At one end there is a Minstral’s gallery which can be used for a photo booth, children’s activities, or chill out area. Outside there is a large terrace with lawn and flower beds which capture the afternoon and evening sun – an ideal spot for your reception drinks and group photographs. Have your photographs taken in the beautiful grounds whether it be in front of the 14th century medieval arched front door, the hay barn or even on the old Massey Fergurson tractor. The Lower barn is directly attached to the Upper Barn. It offers a large reception area with a fully stocked bar and a comfortable seating area. With it’s beams, vaulted ceilings and oak floor it is the perfect place for your drinks reception in the colder months. The Lower barn has double doors leading out to a beautiful decking area over looking the duck pond and the open country side, with all its wildlife. Also from the Lower Barn there is access to the Bride’s room which is a lovely tranquil area for the bride to escape to touch up her make up and have a few quiet moments to reflect.
