Hoghton Tower
Preston, Lancashire, United Kingdom
About this venue
High on a hill in the heart of Lancashire, the Tower offers an enchanting and unique destination for every occasion.
With its walled gardens and imposing state rooms provides an impressive backdrop for weddings, celebrations, a weekend stay, family days out, farmers markets, corporate away days and educational experiences.
From the past to the present, the house has many tales to tell. Isn’t it time you paid this hidden gem a visit?
Weddings
Imagine a 16th Century Manor House high on a hill, visited by King James I, William Shakespeare and Charles Dickens. Imagine joining that illustrious company by taking your first steps forward into marriage and history.
Hoghton Tower offers majestic and inspirational surroundings and is available for exclusive use to celebrate your special day. The Inner Courtyard provides an intimate setting for a string quartet and canapé reception.
The magnificent Banqueting Hall, where King James I knighted the loin of beef ‘Sir Loin’, is perfect for your ceremony and wedding breakfast. By day, the room enjoys natural light through four thousand panes of glass. By night, an open log fire and music from the Minstrels’ Gallery create a truly memorable experience.
The Tudor Gardens are a photographer’s dream. Clipped yew trees lead to the ramparts, castellated walls, fountain and fairytale turret with commanding views across Lancashire, the Lake District and North Wales.
Corporate Events
Sitting amidst immaculate gardens and grounds, with easy access to the M6, M65 and M61, and only 15 minutes from Preston station, the House has a number of unique function rooms. The gardens and grounds provide the ideal setting for product launches and team building sessions with fantastic views.
These exclusive and inspirational surroundings, complemented by roaring log fires, friendly and professional service and first-class catering, are the trademarks we look forward to sharing with you during your time at Hoghton Tower.
Famed as the location where King James I knighted the loin of beef, our spectacular Banqueting Hall seats up to 120. It is the perfect venue for your corporate reception, conference, presentation or banquet.
