The Old Market

The Old Market is a Grade II listed building located on the border between Brighton and Hove. Constructed in 1826 as part of the prestigious Regency-era Brunswick Town development, the building is full of original features, including stunning wooden roof beams and arches. The Old Market is not only the best place in Brighton and Hove to see a show, it’s also an excellent venue for both public and private events. Whether you’re looking to stage a performance, organise a conference or host a party, we offer a wide range of packages to suit all requirements. We’re also happy to customise a hire to your exact needs. Our Main House is a 300-500 capacity room with various seating and staging arrangement possibilities, kitted out with high spec PA and lighting. TOM’s Bar and adjoining Waterloo Room, with a combined capacity of 100, are available to hire separately, but are also included as part of most Main House hires. Your event is sure to find a great home at The Old Market, be it a performance, conference, party, wedding reception, recording or anything else you’re planning.
