Built in the 19th century in the style of an elegant French chateau, Wrest Park's mansion house sits in 92 acres of far-reaching parkland and provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable wedding. With six magnificent rooms, including an ornate orangery, your guests will be impressed the moment they step through the front doors and into the gilded staircase hall with its picture-perfect staircases. For smaller ceremonies, the rich blue and gold drawing room is the perfect setting. The floor length windows ensure the room is full of natural light and the masterfully decorated ceiling will captivate your guests. With a capacity of 60 for civil ceremony, it offers an intimate location for your special day. Looking out onto the terrace and gardens, the Library is elaborately decorated and lined with classically-bound books. The perfect setting for any book lover, it can hold up to 100 people for a ceremony and has a long aisle for your grand entrance. It also hosts the wedding breakfast in the house and can seat 100 hungry guests round professionally-laid circular tables. After a ceremony at Wrest Park there is nothing more spectacular than stepping out on to the historic terrace for drinks and canapés. With French doors leading from our central ante-library, there’s plenty of outdoor and indoor space for all your guests to explore and mingle. The dramatically-decorated gold dining room provides the perfect backdrop for your first dance. Conveniently positioned near to the bar location, your guests can dance the night away and enjoy your evening entertainment. For those with a larger number of guests, or those who would like a wedding in our spectacular gardens, the ornate Orangery is nestled in the 92 acres of Wrest Park’s parkland. Just a short walk from the main house, the Orangery has a glass ceiling and large windows overlooking the picturesque gardens – flooding the room with beautiful sunlight. With a ceremony license for 170, imagine your guests walking through the wonderful gardens before celebrating your wedding with you. After a quick turnaround, the Orangery offers a perfect setting for wedding breakfast and evening reception, allowing you to watch the sun go down across the gardens from its own terrace. The Evergreen Garden marquee site can accommodate up to 1,000 guests for ceremony, dinner and dancing.
