El Hotel Casa Conzatti ocupa el edificio de lo que fuera el domicilio de don Cassiano Conzatti, naturalista y botánico nacido en Italia y Radicado en Oaxaca a finales del siglo pasado. La importante labor realizada por él en estas tierras, le llevó a ser merecedor del reconocimiento de los oaxaqueños al denominar con su nombre el predio donde realizó estudios y cultivó especies de la flora regional: El Jardin Conzatti, ubicado justo enfrente del actual Hotel Casa Conzatti.
