Carynwen is an award-winning small business specialising in bespoke Welsh wedding stationery, celebration cards, and personalised gifts. Every item is handcrafted with care, ensuring a unique and personal touch. I proudly offer both Welsh and English options, making my designs truly special.
I’m Emma-Jane, the founder of Carynwen, and my journey began in 2008 when I designed my own bespoke wedding stationery. At the time, I couldn’t find anyone who could create personalised wedding invitations in Welsh, incorporating my ideas and heritage. As a first-language Welsh speaker, this was important to me, so I took matters into my own hands.
What started as a crafting hobby after the birth of my first child in 2011 has since evolved into a specialist small business that I’m incredibly proud of. In 2020, I rebranded as Carynwen, a name inspired by my daughters, with a logo featuring their fingerprints in the heart design - adding a truly personal touch to my brand.
Over the years, I’ve expanded my range to include unique greeting cards, personalised keepsakes, custom wedding stationery and more recently funeral orders of service. My goal is to continue growing Carynwen so I can create a sustainable and successful business that allows me to do what I love while providing for my family. I’m working on adding more products to my website (www.carynwen.com), so customers can easily browse and purchase handmade wedding invitations, stationery sets, and gifts directly.
Alongside my online sales, my products are also stocked in local shops, and I’m exploring opportunities for collaborations to expand further. I love creating new designs and have so many ideas in the pipeline - time is always my biggest challenge! To keep customers updated on new products, special offers, and exclusive designs, I also send out regular newsletters and blog updates.
