The Red House is a traditional thatched pub set in beautiful West Berkshire countryside, a couple of miles to the west of Newbury. We serve Great British Food, complemented by a well-stocked bar full of local beers and and a hand-picked wine list. Chef Patron Laurent has been cooking for over 25 years in brasseries, bars and Michelin-starred restaurants and our meals are freshly prepared from the finest locally-sourced ingredients.
The pub has a lovely snug bar, a charming restaurant and a beautiful private dining room overlooking the marshes, which is also a perfect space for business meetings. In the summer our sunny patio and meadow garden provide a perfect spot for alfresco dining or our famous afternoon tea.
We can accommodate parties of up to 100 people and have a choice of function menus for those special occasions, whether you want a buffet or a three-course meal.
