Chycara is an ideal venue for an informal country style Wedding. Set in 16 acres of landscaped gardens, lakes and woodlands, Chycara offers a beautiful photographic backdrop to capture memories of your special wedding day. Linda and David will work with you to make sure everything goes exactly to your plan.
Our unique Barnquee (12m x 15m) holds up to 160 people seated. It is tastefully decorated inside and adorned with roof linings. The Barnquee has a roofed terrace area with marquee sides. An ideal area for drinks, receiving and relaxing.
Once inside, guests benefit from a panoramic view of the adjacent gardens. A contemporary polished concrete floor provides an ideal finish and dance floor. The integral facilities block includes separate kitchen and toilets (including disabled) with additional storage space.
We provide tables, linen, chairs and much more. You are invited to visit, prepare and plan in advance with access to decorate the Barnquee the day before your ceremony.
There is a P.A. system with hand held microphones along with a large screen and projector for displaying images or film. Additional indoor lighting and outside flood lights can be set to co-ordinate with your wedding colours. Indoor tree lights and flower holders are also available to help in setting everything up just the way you want it
Catering We can advise on all aspects of catering, from buffets, hog roasts to a more formal wedding breakfast. You are welcome to bring your own caterers or even do it all yourself. We do not charge for corkage on wine. We can also advise regarding entertainment, decorations, photography, and florists.
As a result of many successful wedding receptions over recent years, we can provide information and contact details on a wide range of suppliers to assist in making your special day a memorable success.
Parking We can park up to 70 cars within the grounds of Chycara and away from your event, leaving the setting free from traffic.
Accommodation Chycara has up to 4 bedrooms within the main house and three self-catering lodges (2 x 2 bedroom, 1 x 3 bedroom) within the grounds. If you book all the accommodation for your event you will also have exclusive use of the swimming pool and other facilities within the leisure centre.
