Barton Court is a stunning period country house set in 6 acres of tranquil grounds on the edge of a village. It is private, peaceful, but readily accessible to all parts of the UK via the motorway network which is just 3 miles away or by train. Predominantly Georgian, the main house offers stylish, comfortable accommodation, sleeping up to 24 in 10 bedrooms with 9 bathrooms [8 of which are ensuite] and 3 cloakrooms.
The reception rooms are grand but not daunting. The drawing room with its 250 year old pristine plaster ceiling is breathtaking but still manages to feel welcoming while the modern colouring in the dining room gives it gravitas but with an interesting twist. The library has tongue in cheek vibe that suits playing cards and gathering to chat.
Outside are ponds, wooded areas, lawns and walks. The numerous outbuildings, currently being refurbished, offer additional living accommodation, a bar created from the 18th century stables and a function room in one of the smaller barns. During 2018, the marquee site in the kitchen garden will be available for hire and is spacious enough to host gatherings of 150 plus. From 2019, when the Tythe Barn will be renovated, that, too, will be available for weddings and events.
