Kingshill Barn itself is licenced for marriages. A ceremony in front of the window, looking out onto the marsh beyond, underneath the vaulted wooden ceiling is really very special. The window at the East End of Kingshill Barn throws light into the space and provides breath-taking views across miles of unspoilt landscape. At night time the moonlight shining off the lakes outside is truly enchanting.
The huge rustic wooden barn doors open out onto a pretty grass walled courtyard, lined with wild flowers, hedging and festoon lighting. The Linhay is a gorgeous small open barn in the courtyard. It is also licenced for marriage ceremonies, and is a very romantic spot for a ceremony.
For smaller weddings guests can sit in the Linhay or for larger weddings, guests can sit on the grass courtyard for a glorious English garden wedding.
For corporate events we can can offer creative activities, wonderful catering and onsite accommodation, all in an incredibly inspiring setting, along with the knowledge that you’re contributing to a National Nature Reserve of international wildlife significance.
With space for up to 200 guests in the beautiful traditional Kentish Barn, we can also host more intimate events. Elmley is an ideal venue for a private party, whether it’s an afternoon children’s party where the children can go wild (and see our pigs and chickens), formal reception or a jolly good knees-up! We are on hand to tailor an unforgettable event for you, and can source all styles of catering, decoration and music. We also have unique exclusive accommodation for up to 100 guests.
