The historic buildings of Dulwich College, founded in 1619, provide a striking backdrop for every occasion. Set in 70 acres of leafy grounds, the College feels part of the countryside yet remains conveniently located for quick access to central London.
Weddings Built in 1902, the Old Library is licensed by Southwark Council to hold civil ceremonies and civil partnerships and can accommodate up to 130 guests.
Clients are given an exclusive two-hour booking allowing ample time for decoration. There is access to a sound system or you may wish to hire use of the baby grand piano, the perfect accompaniment to a memorable day. The Old Library has access to its own lawn which is ideal for photographs and for drinks receptions after the ceremony should you wish to extend the celebrations a little longer. The spectacular gates and front lawns of the Barry Buildings provide a beautiful backdrop for al fresco drinks receptions and wedding photographs.
After the wedding breakfast in the Great Hall, guests make their way down the grand staircases leading to the Lower Hall and Cloisters on the ground floor. These areas are often used in harmony with the Great Hall as they make ideal spaces for an evening party or as a quiet spot for guests to enjoy coffee and conversation.
The Pavilion Salle is the perfect setting for an intimate reception with dual aspect balconies overlooking the beautiful manicured grounds of the College. The ample outdoor space makes this the ideal venue for those seeking a more informal wedding with barbeques and hog roasts ever popular. The Christison Hall and Trevor Bailey are also available to hire for wedding receptions large or small.
Conferences & Meetings Dulwich College has a wide range of meeting rooms to support workshops, training courses, conferences and seminars.
The Great Hall provides an impressive environment for large meetings and conferences with a raised stage complete with a PA system and excellent acoustics.
Situated apart from the main College buildings, the Old Library is often used to hold seminars and the Carver Room and Rotunda lead off the main room to provide additional break-out rooms.
The Laboratory houses a versatile 240-seat auditorium with an outdoor piazza for recreation and performance along with 4 adaptable Informatics suites with free-thinking spaces to stimulate creativity and a seminar room with full video conferencing facilities.
Additionally The Shackleton and Lord George buildings provide a wide variety of classrooms, ideal for revision courses, seminars and break-out rooms.
