There are few venues in London like Greenwich Yacht Club. In fact, if you accept the 113-year-old club’s claim to be the ‘only venue built in the Thames’, there are none. The property actually comprises two distinct areas. Cross the footbridge (or arrive by boat) to the stilted Clubhouse, and you’ll find a glass-clad event space with room-height windows that lock in a panoramic view of east London landmarks.
Alternatively, there’s the River Rooms: a standalone venue split into three. Start things off in the bar for reception drinks, take things to the Banqueting Hall for the main event, then, if it’s warm, finish off outdoors on the decked terrace overlooking The Thames.
