The Zetter Townhouse Marylebone opened its doors on 14th August 2015, becoming the second addition to The Zetter Group’s ‘Townhouse’ boutique hotel family. The 24-bedroom Georgian townhouse and cocktail lounge enjoys an enviable location on Seymour Street in London’s fashionable Marylebone. Feeling more like the private home of an eccentric relative than a conventional hotel & bar, the property features 24 bedrooms and a destination cocktail lounge, Seymour’s Parlour. While The Zetter Townhouse Clerkenwell is known to some as the home of The Zetter’s Great Aunt Wilhelmina, the Marylebone property is the next in the family and is that of Wicked Uncle Seymour.
The Georgian Townhouse (once home to the Owl & the Pussycat poet, Edward Lear), is awash with curious collections and antique furniture from top to bottom. Bedrooms are masculine and effortlessly elegant, with each room being individually designed and many retaining original and grand period features. Filled with precious antiques, hand-picked art and characteristic quirks, every bedroom offers a quintessentially British home from home like no other. Inspired by the architectural collections of Sir John Soane, the interior of the lounge downstairs is crammed with a sprawling collection amassed during Uncle Seymour’s European Grand Tour, reflecting the fictional owner’s eclectic and rather colourful character. Candlelit and sumptuous with velvet sofas and an open fire in Winter, guests quickly feel they have stumbled upon a clandestine place.
While there are no private dining rooms, The Zetter Townhouse can be hired exclusively, including the 24 bedrooms & suites. This makes for the ultimate private venue in Central London, particularly popular for weddings, special birthday parties and even an immersive murder mystery! Just imagine – dedicated staff to attend to every whim, complimentary breakfast and minibar treats, and of course the keys to the front door.
Up to 20 guests can gather around the fireplace to sip on inventive cocktails or indulge on lavish treats from the afternoon tea menu. The perfect setting to celebrate an engagement or to host a baby shower.
