West London Shooting School is the UK’s oldest independent shooting school. We have been offering expert tuition and gun-fitting for well over a century in beautiful surroundings a mere 12 miles from London’s West End.
With over a hundred traps and stands in superbly laid out grounds, we teach every possible variation of game shooting to all standards of shots, from beginners to experts. Our distinctive style of shooting and tuition owes much to the great Percy Stanbury, arguably one of the finest shots who ever lived, who taught at the School for more than 20 years.
What better way to entertain clients, friends or staff than a shooting party or multi-activity day at the School. We can tailor the format to suit you, from a morning, afternoon or evening event to a full day. Try our Brunch Shoot and be back at your desk by noon. Or in the summer come after a day’s work and enjoy an Evening Shoot with a barbecue to finish. If you book a Beasley or Dickson half-day shoot, we can offer you a flexible combination of breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, taken al fresco or in our wonderful restaurant. Otherwise why not spend the whole day with us and choose a Woodward full day shoot?
We’ll be glad to welcome you for Shoot Meetings, Shoot Drive par ties or Charity clay pigeon shoots, at which you can make full use of our Lodge, Bothy and 65 acres of landscaped grounds with stylish marquees and catering to the highest standard.
If you fancy something completely different, try a MacNab Day, where we pay homage to John Buchan’s 1925 novel, John MacNab, in which three friends turn poaching into a challenge from three Estates. You will use a shotgun in our grouse butts, learn the skills of a .270 rifle on our rifle range and be taught the delicate art of fly-fishing on our lake.
