Our 17th century Grade II red star listed building, idyllic gardens and magnificent location opposite Ripon Cathedral makes The Old Deanery one of the most beautiful wedding venues in North Yorkshire.
Our historic building and grounds are exclusively yours for your special day. From the front gate to the bottom of the gardens and everything in between – just you, your guests and our friendly staff.
We want you to treat The Old Deanery as your home so leave the paint on the walls and we don’t mind what you do! Bring The Old Deanery to life and inject your own personality into it. Whether it be hanging pictures, lighting up the gardens or dressing the staircase – it’s your day, do what you wish.
Open up the doors of the Cathedral Dining Room and Dean’s Dining Room to create an elegant space seating up to 80 guests, or for smaller weddings enjoy the Garden Room for up to 20 guests. All of which are licensed to hold ceremonies, along with our lounge and airy Sanctuary room. Just minutes from our doors are also many places of worship, including the magnificent Ripon Cathedral, allowing for a short walk or a drive around the ancient market square from your ceremony, to your celebration here at The Old Deanery.
Couples who choose to celebrate with us will find their very own wedding coordinator, Keri Graham, on hand from day one. Her calming personality and passion for weddings will ensure the planning process is as stress-free as possible, allowing you to enjoy the experience and relax on the run up to the big day!
