Magnificent and enchanting medieval house with fine panelled interiors, including the unique Elizabethan 'Painted Room' with its trompe l'oeil murals. In the 16th century South Hall there is an exquisite gilded wall-leather decorated with flowers, fruit and birds.
The formal gardens have amusing animal topiary, and in the Victorian 'Secret' Garden can be seen the original late 19th century fruit wall, pineapple pits, Jubilee Rose Garden, Terracotta Garden, and Landscape Water Garden.
The main function room is the elegant Victorian Music Room, built in the 1890’s for soirées, and having an elegant ‘gothic’ appearance. It is licensed for up to 90 people.
