Whether your dream wedding is an intimate getaway, a huge celebration or somewhere in between, Springkell is the perfect wedding venue. We offer a range of bespoke options at our beautiful Palladian Mansion built from 1734 & situated only 6 miles from Gretna Green.
You can marry here, inside or outside, or alternatively you could get married in your own church and have your reception onwards at Springkell. Springkell is fully licensed to host Civil, Religious, and Humanist wedding ceremonies, same sex Civil Partnerships ceremonies, and wedding blessings, both inside the house and in the gardens.
The wedding room, with its elegant 2m mirror surrounded by Italian marble, can hold up to 150 guests, 100 seated and 50 standing. Complete with aisle, it also has two entrances – one for the groom and one for the bride.
You can choose to get married in our grounds in the romantic round garden. Only in Scotland can you get married outside and in the open air. Enjoy southerly views over the beautifully kept formal gardens and parkland. In addition there is a sweeping Italian stone staircase with balcony on which to frame some lovely wedding day photographs or if you prefer, in any one of the stunning formal rooms.
You and your guests can also use the formal rooms, including the black and white marble entrance hall complete with 4 marble pillars, the Portrait Gallery which leads to the wedding room and the music room.
Once the ceremony is over and we have a new Mr and Mrs, you can then move into the main hall for your reception. The hall, which can hold up to 250 guests, is simply stunning and boasts marble pillars and black and white marble flooring – exactly the same as the Palace of Versailles.
Our lovely ballroom is the location for your wedding breakfast, and where you and your guests can enjoy whatever entertainment you chose.
Corporate Events Corporate Events have a great time at Springkell. Take advantage of six large rooms that can each be tailored to your requirements. Our two rosette chef will prepare your breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner and we specialise in providing what you want.

Our large sitting room seats 25 comfortably while the smaller sitting room with the WII, PS3 and Driving Wheel seats 8 to 10 – it’s more cosy. We look forward to looking after you!
