Established in 1829 as a Posting Inn, Caradog Hotels Ltd took over The Angel Hotel in 2002. The Angel strives to offer guests a level of personal attention and comfort that exceeds expectations. The hotel has 3 stunning banqueting rooms accommodating every kind of celebration: (1) Ballroom With its original high plasterwork ceiling, contemporary Italian crystal chandeliers and gilt sconces, tall windows, elegant mirrored alcoves and minstrels’ gallery, the Ballroom is a grand space for your celebrations. It has a private bar, opening onto a walled terrace with views towards the Blorenge mountain. Situated on the first floor of the hotel, the Ballroom can be accessed by lift, by stairs and directly from the car park. Capacity up to 180.
(2) Brecon Room Situated on the first floor of the hotel with easy access from the lift and stairs, the air-conditioned Brecon Room is the smallest of our private dining rooms and overlooks the historic high street. It has a large open fire and a Roger Oates flatweave rug on an oak floor. The overmantle mirror and wall sconces are gilt, and the large bay windows flood the room with natural light. Capacity up to 25.
(3) The Cellar The Cellar features the hotel's wine cellar as a backdrop. The blue leather chairs contrast with the earthy tones of the stone walls and floor. Discretely tucked away in the basement, access is via a spiral staircase. Capacity up to 14.
