Located in the heart of Notting Hill, The Museum of Brands tells the remarkable story of how consumer society has evolved from the Victorian times to nowadays. It’s a journey of discovery that puts everyone’s favourite brands into their context, displayed alongside royal coronations, two world wars and man landing on the moon, right through to the computer and digital age. Laid out chronologically, the Museum’s shows how daily life has been transformed by the arrival of the railway, motor car and aeroplane, and how entertainment has been enlivened by the innovation of cinema, radio and television. Amongst the nostalgia and memories there are many underlying stories: the rapid advance in technology, the passing of the domestic servant, the emancipation of women, the takeover of the self-service store, the increasing variety of convenience foods, the benefits of refrigeration, as well as the growth in the use of plastics. The Museum offers a modern conference space, suitable for 10 to 100 guests which can be hired every day for team away days, board meetings and innovation sessions. AT night, the whole Museum can be hired for a range of corporate and social events: Christmas and Summer Parties, Product Launches, Brand Activations, Bar Mitzvahs, Children's parties and a lot more.
